The “Molini di sotto”, the “lower mill”, was built in the 15th century and was originally part of a monastery. Four hundred years later it was turned into a salt chamber, and then a farm. Until the 60s, up to fifty people lived here, and worked in the surrounding fields. One of them was Romano. He was born here and, at over eighty, he still comes every day, in all weathers, to look after his small vegetable garden and his chickens and rabbits.
For us, the mill is an inexhaustible source of inspiration and at the same time a little paradise … We enjoy the quiet and the scenery, swim in the river, celebrate parties with friends in our large garden and rent the house out as a location for photo shoots.
